Hello WOOD faithful!
Though we don't post often to this site, it wouldn't be right to let another amazing season of WOOD pass without updating the fans of the blog. Or, at least it gives us a chance to show pictures to Brandon "Moved to LA but I've still got love for WOOD on the in" Sides.
After a 14-6 regular season, the WOOD entered the playoffs as the #3 seed in the Bay Conference - after knocking off the Fog 2-1, WOOD toppled longtime foe the Baysox in two games, 6-0 and 13-10.
In the conference finals, WOOD took its revenge against the Knockers after dropping the division to them in the regular season. In two games, 5-2 and 20-10, the WOOD were back in the finals.
That brought the WOOD in to familiar territory, in the championship series against the Tsunami, the same opponent they faced in 2012. Two games later, the WOOD completed a perfect postseason with a championship. Game 1 was a thrilling 8-3 win, and the final game was a 5-4 battle. Celebrations ensued in da club.
Congrats to the WOOD on another championship! Next year, more blog posts, pictures and hilarity will ensue. But for now, here's a look at the champions!

With the un-heat of a San Francisco summer, fall around the corner, and Jevon's Justin Bieber album on repeat comes SF Naba playoffs. And as consistent as whatever is opposite of Matt Moyer's belt staying on during a game, Wood is back in the fray.
But first off, how did we get here? Did the staff bloggers knock someone up or god forbid take the plunge into marriage and completely forget this blog even existed? Well... yes.
Here's what you've missed...
Wood was pummeled by the Tsumani in a pair of games (ok it was closer than a pummeling but i'm trying to re-create an actual Tsunami here), then de-throned the Heroes in a double-header, were clouded by the Fog, then finished off with a strong win against the Dons. (No analogy here, what the heck is a Don? Hence leaving them at 12-8 on the season, good enough for a playoff spot and a 12-8 record. Oh and did I mention ace Chente Lopez took a no-hitter into the 8th inning of a game?
