Hello WOOD faithful!
Though we don't post often to this site, it wouldn't be right to let another amazing season of WOOD pass without updating the fans of the blog. Or, at least it gives us a chance to show pictures to Brandon "Moved to LA but I've still got love for WOOD on the in" Sides.
After a 14-6 regular season, the WOOD entered the playoffs as the #3 seed in the Bay Conference - after knocking off the Fog 2-1, WOOD toppled longtime foe the Baysox in two games, 6-0 and 13-10.
In the conference finals, WOOD took its revenge against the Knockers after dropping the division to them in the regular season. In two games, 5-2 and 20-10, the WOOD were back in the finals.
That brought the WOOD in to familiar territory, in the championship series against the Tsunami, the same opponent they faced in 2012. Two games later, the WOOD completed a perfect postseason with a championship. Game 1 was a thrilling 8-3 win, and the final game was a 5-4 battle. Celebrations ensued in da club.
Congrats to the WOOD on another championship! Next year, more blog posts, pictures and hilarity will ensue. But for now, here's a look at the champions!
